Did you know that most plants and seeds sold today are grown from genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) ? These new plants will not produce seeds that can be planted again next season. The seeds are sterile. While this insures the plant and seed growers a annual stream of repeat customers, it doesn’t do much for you.
The issue isn’t if you would replant the seeds anyway, most people don’t. The problem is that most everything you buy has been modified from the original. Since GMO is relatively new, no one really knows what effects this has on the environment, or you. However, you can buy organic or heritage seeds and plants and preserve non GMO foods.
